Product Description
When Eddie was twelve years old, all he wanted for Christmas was a bike. Although his life had gotten harder -- and money tighter -- sincehis father died and the family bakery closed...Eddie dreamed that somehow his mother would find a way to have his dream bike gleaming beside their modest Christmas tree that magical morning. What he got from her instead was a sweater. A stupid, handmade, ugly sweater that young Eddie left in a crumpled ball in the corner of his room.Scarreddeeply by the realization that kids don t always get what they want, and too young to understand that he already owned life s most valuabletreasures, that Christmas morning was the beginning of Eddie s dark andpainful journey on the road to manhood. It will take wrestling withhimself, his faith, and his family -- and the guidance of a mysteriousneighbor named Russell -- to help Eddie find his path through the stormclouds of life and finally see the real significance of that simplegift his mother had crafted by hand with love in her heart. 5 out of 5 stars The Christmas Sweater   June 23, 2010

A charming and expressive story that I related to. I enjoyed Glenn Beck's style of writing.

5 out of 5 stars Why does Amazon have a review from Publishers Weekly in the Description from an author that obviously does not like Glenn Beck?   June 22, 2010

Why does Amazon have a review from Publishers Weekly in the Description from an author that obviously does not like Glenn Beck? FYI, Glenn Beck has made lots of dollars for Amazon, the I.T. person who copied and pasted that description format, should consider this before posting the obvious slander of that editorial to those considering this purchase. If I want a liberal slant, I will turn on the lamestream media.

From one of this generations teachers and a Thinking Person...

This is one of the best books I have purchased recently. Once I took off the cover and tore the book in half, it was the perfect height for balancing my kitchen table. The half I didn't use shredded nicely to provide confetti for my daughter's birthday party. I'm looking forward to getting The Overton Window because it looks like just the right bulk to keep open my office door. Kudos to Glenn!

5 out of 5 stars wonderful!   June 5, 2010

I ordered the kindle edition because I knew I couldn't wait the 2 days for shipping!! I read it all in one night and could not put it down!! A wonderful parable for our time that should be shouted from the rooftops to our selfish society. A great message that I will convey to my children. I loved it so much that I immediately ordered more for friends. A must read!

5 out of 5 stars Wonderful story that anyone can read and enjoy   May 28, 2010
Glenn Beck's book, The Christmas Sweater, is a quick read, but that doesn't mean that it doesn't have depth. It's the story of a little boy who lost his parents and was raised by his grandparents. I won't tell the story; you need to read it. Your kids, your parents, your friends... they all need to read it.
